Specialises in painting, drawing and etching specific types of sailing vessels for publications, exhibitions, research projects ranging from early Roman vessels to ‘clipper ships’.

His drawings, paintings and etchings are in private collections in Europe, Canada, USA, Australia and South Korea.

He was a founder and past Chairman of the Royal Society of Arts, East Anglia Regional Centre.
